French toast, hold the milk. Start your morning right with Brioche bread soaked in NotMilk™. Also, you obviously need to add some berries for that extra something!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of NotMilk™
  • 5 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1/3 cup of cornstarch
  • 2 tsp of flax flour
  • 8 slices of vegan brioche bread 
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 10 of strawberries
  • 1 cup of berry sauce
  • Maple syrup
  • Caster sugar

Berry Sauce

  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup of frozen blackberries
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 of fresh blueberries

 

Steps

  1. In a bowl, add the NotMilk™, sugar, vanilla essence, cinnamon, cornstarch and flax flour. Mix well with a hand whisk.
  2. Heat the pan with a little oil on medium heat.
  3. Dip the bread for a few second in the mixture.
  4. Brown the bread for 2 minutes. Flip the bread and brown for another 2 minutes.
  5. For the berry sauce: Put the raspberries, blackberries and sugar into a pot. Heat until the mix boils and keep it boiling for 5 minutes. Add the blueberries and remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Plate the french toast and decorate with the berry sauce, maple syrup, strawberries and fresh blueberries. Sprinkle with powder sugar and cinnamon powder and enjoy!
